We only extend privileges to physicians who we feel will not only provide excellent medical care, but who have a warm bedside manner as well. Because we limit the number of attending physicians that we have on staff at The Elms, we are able to ensure that our doctors are always accessible to you and to our staff.
The Elms staff is encouraged to stay abreast of the most current standards and practices in the industry and we routinely provide ongoing education programs to ensure that you are receiving the best quality care. We strongly support a “continuum of care” philosophy, so our medical team maintains open lines of communication with your surgeon and/or community attending to keep them abreast of your progress whenever appropriate.
Our low patient to staff ratio and primary care philosophy enables us to quickly identify even the smallest changes in your medical condition and provide you with the prompt medical attention that you need. We offer onsite XRAY, Doppler and EKG services and our laboratory services are provided by a local area hospital 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. In addition, we are technologically integrated with our providers, enabling us to more rapidly view and obtain results of your testing.
The skill level of our staff, coupled with the state of the art technology that we employ enables us to treat in place and eliminate stressful transfers to outside providers whenever possible, thereby shortening your institutional stays and returning you back home quickly and safely.
